1h 50' Together with our creative associate ‘d e t h e a t e r m a k e r’ we present you with a new talent: Suze Milius. She is in her early thirties and graduated in Directing at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2012. In her productions she uses a visual and physical idiom and focuses on interpersonal behaviour and all its clumsiness. Placing everyday situations in the theatrical space and so creating tension is what makes her highly entertaining. She holds up a mirror to us: we recognise ourselves but at the same time feel alienated. Her projects are always on a large scale, as is ‘TALK SHOW’, her new creation based on research into our view of communication and entertainment, charisma and ego. On stage she creates a talk-show studio that embodies the television era. But with ‘TALK SHOW’ she also wants to stage a farewell. As she herself says, ‘A farewell to a medium that has no future, a farewell to my childhood.’
