Tg Stan
Of/Niet
What happens when the main actors from Tg Stan appear on stage together once again? Fireworks guaranteed. In their own masterly way, in 'of/niet' they have joined together excerpts of plays by two very different English dramatists. 'Party Time' by the Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter is an outspoken political play. A wealthy group of people come together for a drink in a flat. They seem to have lost all sense of reality. They listen eagerly to one another's bragging but are completely deaf to the sounds of the war raging outside. 'Relatively Speaking' by Alan Ayckbourn is introduced into the performance bit by bit. This highly popular author is known as the king of misunderstanding. In his hilarious farce about disloyalty and extramarital affairs, two couples become ensnared in their own web of lies. For the Tg Stan actors this is grist to their mill. With very little stage set and few props they bring us great theatre. Their enjoyment of acting will definitely get the audience laughing.
