De Nachten 2010

'De Nachten' is a unique festival with music, literature, experiential theatre and video. A festival for old and young, for stars and newcomers, for unexpected encounters and surprises. It also has one great advantage: you compile your own programme from a selection of more than a hundred artists! 'De Nachten 2010' will bring the opening month of deSingel's new building to a festive conclusion. The new studios provide space for artistic darkrooms. Debates and interviews are held in all sorts of locations large and small. The Theatre Studio, which still smells of fresh paint, will then immediately be transformed into a large concert hall for pop bands with a standing audience. De Nachten is a festival that truly invests in projects by and with writers so that authors are more than just a warm-up for an expectant pop audience, and with an eye for established names as well as young talent. The graphic novel has been on the programme since last season and is a huge hit, with appearances by top artists like Andy Riley and Posy Simmonds, and original interventions by Randall. C and Brecht Evens. This year our wish list includes Glen Baxter, Joost Swarte and Hanco Kolk. Don't forget to join in our great closing party, every night!
