Aaron Betsky (directeur NAI - Rotterdam)

Aaron Betsky (b. 1958 / USA. Lives in Rotterdam), author, architectural historian.
He studied art history and architecture at Yale University in New Haven. From 1995 to 2001 he was the curator of architecture, design and digital projects at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and assistant at the California College of Arts & Crafts in San Francisco. Since 2001 he has been the director of the Nederlands Architectuur Instituut in Rotterdam. His most recent publications include 'MRDV: Reads' (2003), 'Landscrapers, building with the land' (2002), 'Revelatory Landscapes' (2001), 'The Architecture must burn' (2000), 'Vertigo, the strange new world of the contemporary city' (1999), 'Icons, Magnets of Meaning' (1997).
