Jean-Paul Van Bendegem
Jean-Paul Van Bendegem (b. 1953, lives in Ghent) studied to be a mathematician and philosopher. He is currently a professor at the University of Brussels and a part-time visiting professor at Ghent University. Although his main interest is the philosophy of mathematics, he is equally concerned with the relationship between science and religion and the problems that form a bridge between science And society. He has published several articles including 'Chaos- en complexiteitsdenken in de sociale wetenschappen', 'Schoonheid in de wiskunde: Birkhoff revisited', 'Oorlog en vrede in wetenschapsland' and 'Wie heeft de sleutel van het universum verstopt?
