Marije Nie

Studied with Peter Kuit and legendary tap dancers such as Buster Brown and Gregory Hines. She regulalrly performs the Concerto for Tapdancer and Orchestra by Morton Gould. Marije works as a tap dancer within the improvised music scene: duo with trombonist Wolter Wierbos, performances with Simon Nabatov, Wilbert de Joode and Frankie Douglas. She has a great interest in the use of electronics and multimedia, of which the programme "Tap hop" with POW ensemble is an outstanding exemple.
