In conjunction with the exhibition 'Bovenbouw Architectuur. The House of the Explorer' the Italian architect Matteo Ghidoni offers an insight into the recent projects undertaken by his architectural firm Salottobuono.
By constructing irregular shapes in the public space, Salottobuono tries to formulate hypotheses around the idea of cohabitation. By working with different scales in an urban context, the architects encourage dialogue between the architecture of the present and the past. They promote a jovial, sometimes opportunistic appropriation of publically available knowledge.
