Sophie Nys (B)

Talk Katerina Sedá cancelled------------- Sophie Nys (B), artist. Her work is characterised by the minimalist aesthetics of rudimentary graphic art. Her aim is to break away from the fetish of the unique artefact. Her work has been exhibited at the Dhondt Dhaenens Museum, Deurle (2007), the Argos Media Centre in Brussels (2007) and the Rotterdam Film Festival (2006). Katerina Sedá (CZ) lives and works in Brno and Prague. She often works on social experiments. More recent exhibitions of her work include those at the Renaissance Society, Chicago (2008, solo), Manifesta 7, Bolzano (2008), 5th Berlin Biennale (2008) and documenta 12, Kassel (2007).
