Andros Zins-Browne
The Host
The wretched state of the world we live in and the lack of ecological courage in his home country prompted the American Andros Zins-Browne to create 'The Host'. After decades of ecological exploitation, man finds himself in an environment that is increasingly difficult to control. "We no longer talk about 'global warming', but about 'global weirding'. Strange, inexplicable things are happening to our surroundings", according to Zins-Browne. The leading part in this performance portrays the cowboy, the quintessential American symbol of the individual who rules, uses and controls his surroundings. But how long can this free spirit sustain himself in an environment that is becoming increasingly alienated from him? Andros Zins-Browne studied at P.A.R.T.S., lives in Brussels, and has previously been our guest during 'dedonderdagen'.
