2h The New York choreographer Meg Stuart has been working in Europe for some time now. In the year 2000, she presented 'Alibi' at the deSingel, a breathtaking portrait of a generation on the drift, a performance with considerable reverberations. It was nominated one of the most significant recent productions in the German language area at the Berlin Theatertreffen. Meg Stuart's new creation 'Visitors Only' explores unusual and unsettling perceptions. The personae have no memory or recollection. They are lost in space, but also in their body, a body which is just a receiver and transmitter of visual, energy and sound signals, a transit zone where dream and reality blend. 'Visitors Only' describes a strange world, where the contradictory is viewed as a source of creativity in an unreal universe dealing with non-conventional signs. In this piece, located at the extremes of performance, theatre and movement, Meg Stuart continues her collaboration with the scenographer Anna Viebrock, video artist Chris Kondek and the composer Paul Lemp, who together with Bo Wiget, created the music, which they will perform live.
