Studiedag 'Other Matters' - Sarma
Sarma, the online platform for dance and performance criticism, is organising a mini-colloquium on the occasion of the performance of 'Forgeries, love and other matters'. People working on the artistic and other sides of this production discuss their cooperation during the creative process, and examine in greater depth such topics as dramaturgy, physicality and the filmic aspect. 'Other matters' will be fully documented on www.sarma.be
Programme
1.30 pm Introduction by Steven De Belder.
1.40 pm Myriam Van Imschoot presents her First Letter on Dramaturgy.
1.50 pm Michael Floyd, specialist in film music and the dramaturgy of sound, explains his theoretical ideas on these topics, taking as his example 'Forgeries, Love and Other Matters'.
This is followed by a conversation with the composer Hahn Rowe.
2.30 pm The video film-maker Jorge Leon gives an explanation of his new work ('in progress') which is taking shape on the basis of extensive documentation on 'Forgeries, Love and Other Matters'.
Afterwards, Meg Stuart and Jorge Leon talk about their role in the working process.
3.10 pm Interval
3.30 pm Myriam Van Imschoot presents her 'Second Letter on Dramaturgy'.
3.40 pm Jeroen Peeters gives a presentation on Meg Stuart and Benoît Lachambre's concepts of the body. Followed by a conversation with Benoît Lachambre.
4.20 pm Discussion with Meg Stuart, Benoît Lachambre and Hahn Rowe, moderated by Steven De Belder. The audience and other speakers are invited to take part in the discussion.
