People themselves do not desire something precise but tend more to imitate the desires of someone else, a model. Because people are getting better at this type of imitation, rivalry and violence are on the increase. This is what the French-American thinker, René Girard, believes. These reflections inspired the choreographer Vanessa Le Mat and photographer Katia Feltrin to create this multimedia triptych with film, dance and a series of photos. The first part of this coproduction with deSingel will have its opening performance at BOUGE B 2009: we are expecting to see a show at the cutting edge!
Vanessa Le Mat's dance is restrained, precise and elegant. She danced for William Forsythe from 2001 to 2006, first with Ballett Frankfurt and later on with The Forsythe Company. She then decided to leave this safe haven and return to her native country, France, and focus on her own work.
