Yasmeen Godder obtained a Bachelor degree in Dance at the Tisch School of the Arts (New York University). After her studies she returned to Israel, her home country, where she has remained ever since. In 'Love Fire' she dances to waltz music with Eran Shanny, ranging from Shostakovich to Strauss. These scores accompany them on an odd journey full of contrasts through a variety of romantic images: from kitsch romanticism through blind desire and loss of control to clammy domestic pleasures. In so doing, Godder seeks out such extremes that it becomes funny. Two waltzing bodies that tell a story without words: an intense and extremely physical dance performance.
