Four times a year, Radiant Nights is a space for creation and experimentation, free from conventions. For two whole days, artists take over a part of the building. Radiant Nights offers an insight into the arts landscape of today and tomorrow and features both large and small-scale work, ranging from the obscure, to the fragile, to the experimental. At its core are versatile artists who seek out the in-between space beyond binary thinking. The spaces in between different disciplines, themes, genres and bodies. Their work is diverse, radical, exciting and surprising. Radiant.
Party time! We dive into the holidays with a sweaty, summery edition of Radiant Nights #4. On the programme are artists who not only activate the body, but worship it too.
Kneel alongside us at the altar of the divine body with Kopano Maroga and Somallia Williamson, whose poetry idolises the black, femme and queer body. With the fitting name Saturday Service we’re transforming the Expoplein into a church. Anyone who prefers to seek redemption through the body can interrogate the norms of beauty, femininity and vulnerability with Helena Araújo in the piece my gentle wild squirts. Afterwards you can groove with Soa Ratsifandrihana in our Theatre Studio thanks to her explosive hybrid of music and dance. Afterwards the ecstasy will be unleashed on the stage of the Red Hall with WALLYN, the band led by performance artist Jan Wallyn. Together they create a queer utopia on the dance floor to the rhythm of electronic beats – dancing guaranteed. Anyone who’s totally in the groove after all this can give it their all during the DJ set on the Expoplein.

The festival ticket gives admission to all performances. Admission to Saturday Service and the DJ set is free of charge.
