Calidore String Quartet selects one string quartet from each period of Beethoven’s oeuvre.
“A miracle of unified thinking” is how La Presse described the Calidore String Quartet from New York. Between 2016 and 2018 they were able to grow as BBC New Generation Artists, and since then they have been inundated with positive reviews. In February 2021 the quartet embarked upon a recording of Beethoven’s quartets in full, meaning that they now have plenty of performance experience under their belts. They have selected a single string quartet from each period of Beethoven’s oeuvre, from the classic Opus 18 tot the unparalleled Opus 130.
