This new Belgian band approaches UK Garage, Grime & Bass with a view to performing it live. An all-star team with Thomas Geysen on drums, Aram Abgaryan on keys and Willem Heylen on guitar. KRANKk crackles: it’s like the Belgian version of the English Grime scene. Their dark, aggressive music merges with the speedy raps of famous guests & MCs like Miss Angel, Blu Samu, DVTCH NORRIS and other frenetic devils from the Belgian hip-hop scene. Their first stand-alone release in 2018 was "How We Were". The single crackles and carves into your eardrums. You’re immediately catapulted back to the good old days of WARP records; or better still, imagine Iglooghost and Aphex Twin at the Captagon together in the same studio. Their new album ‘DARK’ digs deeper and further into this UK scene, but constructs a new and unique universe with the right building blocks. Perfection in every track in combination with that oh-so-delicious hook. The album comes out in March 2019 with ‘Crazy’ - a collaboration with David Ngyah - as its title track. It quickly becomes clear that KRAKk is going to reach dizzy international heights with this formula. Live, it’s bursting at the seams, infectiously rousing, danceable and highly virtuoso.
