A dreamlike sensory journey of sound, space and motion
A Myth for Pianois an intriguing solo performance in which music, movement and installation merge. Percussionist Mees Siderius moves slowly, but intensely through a shadowy web of tensioned wires. Everything rustles and crackles. The strings appear to have been taken from an upright piano, but in reality, composer and director Mees Vervuurt is playing with our imagination.
What can I see? What can I hear? What can I feel? Vervuurt’s musical performances create dreamlike worlds in which music, visuals and movement merge with the space. Specifically composed for the location and in collaboration with its performers, A Myth for Pianoinvites you to become immersed in a sensory experience.
