In her work, Carly Rae Heathcote constructs large-scale theatrical images and stories, in which characters are imprisoned between doubt and belief, fascination and horror. For BURN GLASS GATE she stages three characters in an astonishing landscape. Their lives seem frozen in the present, until the disappearance of one of them reveals how fragile their grip on reality is. In the cloudy area between truth and madness, a fictional world is created that both seduces and misleads the viewer.
