Het TheaterFestival 2016

A professional jury selected the most interesting and trendsetting productions of the past season. For ten days, the Theatre Festival turns the spotlight on the finest products of our theatre scene. As usual, the festival starts with a 'State of the Union' speech by a renowned artist, a young contrary voice in the 'State of the Youth' speech and , for the first time this year, an international view in 'State of the Other'. Following the tradition, the Minister of Culture will hand over the Culture Prize for the Performing Arts, while the award of the Taalunie Playwriting Prize and a presentation of provocative ideas for the Roel Verniers Prize are both new. The Theatre Festival is your chance to discover (or rediscover) the very best work in the theatre.
