Write, listen and find your voice at Poetry Club with IKRAAAN.
Poetry Club is back. Every month, artists and participants come together for an evening of words, music and conversation.
This session is guided by IKRAAAN. In her music, she explores themes of mental health, identity and the search for self. Together, we’ll discover how language, poetry and music can help make sense of emotions and personal experiences.
Through conversations, listening sessions and short writing exercises, you’ll explore your own voice. After the break, there will be an opportunity to voluntarily share your work and reflect together on what words can evoke.
With her honest lyrics and personal stories, IKRAAAN invites you to write, listen and experiment in a space free from judgement.
How does the evening unfold?
17:00 - 18:30 | Part 1
Arrival and introductions, followed by an introduction to a song and its themes, conversation, and short writing exercises.
-Break-
19:00 - 20:00 | Part 2
An opportunity to voluntarily read or perform your work, followed by a group reflection and discussion.
