Ludo Engels

Ludo Engels studied photography and film. In the early Eighties he was engaged mainly in improvised music. He remains dedicated to a highly intuitive approach to work, but evolved towards the plastic arts. In his light installations, external factors such as the characteristics of the venue, including space, and light (natural or artificial) and shade, always play an important part. His work is conceptual in the sense that he tries to undermine the way we are used to perceiving things.
