Monstrare en/of Monere, the solo debut of Milø Slayers, explores the boundary between humans and monsters. Can an identity become something fluid? Where does the normal, normative body turn into a body that is seen as deformed? A living triptych about monstrousness as a possibility. Milø Slayers has been part of the dance company Slayers Since 2013, and until 2020 was studying Art & Choreography at ISAC in Brussels. In Monstrare en/of Monere he blends his choreographic background in hip hop with the structures of abstract contemporary dance, beneath a light show that constantly distorts familiar human relationships. Ultimately just a single voice sounds out of the darkness, like a thunderous eruption from deep inside.
