One-off would like to establish a multifunctional framework to keep track of the work of young composers, research into composers of past generations, set up recordings and produce projects on specific themes. Taking musicological study as their starting point but not as an end in itself, particular projects grow very organically into new productions on the basis of the new knowledge gained.
For dedonderdagen, One-off will present 'Voices and Piano', based on a striking work by the composer Peter Ablinger. Ablinger starts out from the voices of historical figures combined with a 'unisono' or 'unichrono' piano part.
Guy Vandromme is the pianist and adds to this Ablinger's 'Weiss/Weisslich 18' plus the surprising 'A lasting song for Geha' (1990) and 'Ikebana' (2001) by Kunsu Shim.
