A Brand New Day, a spring festival for the senses and new encounters.

Every beginning brings new challenges, but also opportunities and the promise of hope. It is a moment of reflection and a chance to seize a new kind of tomorrow. When spring is at its peak and summer begins to bloom, the festival A Brand New Day presents performances that are a feast for all the senses. In Post-Orientalist Express, Eun-Me Ahn offers a playful take on Western clichés about Asia with an explosion of colours. Food takes centre stage, both in the form of indulgence in Eat Me by Aïda Gabriëls and in Travelling Tongues, where it serves as a lens through which to explore diverse culinary cultures. Huang Ruo’s interactive performance gives you a wholly new way to experience a concert, while Paul Boereboom and Leon Rogissart invite you into an extended reality experience. Whatever brand new day awaits, the future takes shape when we come together. The season finale of DE SINGEL will be a place of encounter, a breathing space in which something new can take root.
