Discover Dear Antwerp, a many-voiced city festival across diverse locations.
True to tradition, we open the season with Dear Antwerp, our city festival that has been a programme fixture since 2021. Alongside local creators, this time we are also inviting international artists, each embodying our urban diversity in their own way. The various locations underscore the city’s versatility: we take you not only to our halls but also to a sports hall, the Hobokense Polder, the Boeienweide, or Linkeroever.
With their performance Israel & Mohamed, Israel Galván and Mohamed El Khatib kick off both Dear Antwerp and the new season. Their intimate, personal stories serve as a springboard for wider questions of identity. Theatre company BERLIN takes the opposite approach: through a giant film projection on an apartment building, we zoom in on small, everyday scenes. Choreographer Jeremy Nedd seeks an answer to the current world order: coming together and dancing. Singer Fleur Khani finds hope in spiritual traditions and longs to be seen as we truly are.
