Choirs, basketball players, a brass band and music associations parade through DE SINGEL.
INNER LIFE is a score in seven chapters by Wim Henderickx (1962-2022), award-winning composer, percussionist and music teacher. At the same time it is an alchemistic formula, a game, an artistic experiment in which all manner of musical personalities and groups can participate. Each chapter is seven minutes long and is intended for a basic line-up of seven core musicians.
Under the musical direction of Diederik Glorieux, HERMESensemble and Nemø ensemble get to work with choirs, basketball players, a brass band of Antwerp Conservatory students and musical societies from all over the city. All these people come together in the nomadic concert INNER LIFE. Traveling through various locations at DE SINGEL, the audience encounters an ever-changing group of performers. A highlight of our Dear Antwerp city festival.
