May Zarhy
May Zarhy was born in Israel in 1984. Her first performance was in The National Choreography Biennale at the Suzanne Delal Centre in Tel Aviv in 2001. In 2002 she moved to the Netherlands to study dance at the Rotterdam Dance Academy. In 2005 she was an assistant to William Forsythe for the creation of 'Three Atmospheric Studies'.
Ioannis Mandafounis, Fabrice Mazliah and May Zarhy met as members of The Forsythe Company. In 2009 they decided to work together and establish a collective way of working together. Their projects are gathered together under the collective name of 'mamaza'.
