In 'Still Difficult Duet' we see two belligerent young dancers at work in a duet that is impressive for its playfulness, humour and physical power. The Belgian Pieter Ampe graduated last summer from P.A.R.T.S., Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's dance school in Brussels. The Portuguese Guilherme Garrido studied art and is now works mainly as a dancer and choreographer. The two dancers met in the summer of 2006. Their meeting inspired them to work together but this proved to be more difficult than they had anticipated. They sought harmony, but it soon became apparent that it was difficult to maintain a balance between the two men. The duet, which began in harmony, degenerated to the point of collapse.
