'Limewire*' is a choreographic work based on the music of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. The performance departs from the principles of 'peer-to-peer file-sharing' programmes and questions the meaning of subcultures. The youth and counter subcultures have always been the personification of resistance. But what does this resistance signify in an age when the most powerful weapon against subcultures is the ability to imitate?
Together with 'Linewire*', the American dancer and choreographer Andros Zins-Browne has created an explosive performance based on energy. Andros lives and works in Brussels and Antwerp. He graduated from PARTS in 2006 and at present is making 'Second Life', a performance in which he is working with a group of elderly people.
