'Dubbelconcertino' comprises two compositions. One for actress and loudspeakers and one for cello and loudspeakers. The actress has her lines and her actions. The cellist has his music and his instruments. Both are surrounded by six loudspeakers with whom they engage in dialogue. The actress develops her story with the aid of pre-recorded sounds, musical excerpts and her voice. The loudspeakers surround her, challenge her and interrupt her. The cellist improvises to various layers of music pre-recorded on his cello, which are heard through the loudspeakers. The compositions are played separately. They are two separate stories told on the basis of one and the same form. The actress plays with the story 'The Atlantic Man' by Marguerite Duras, in which a woman films her beloved as she bids him goodbye. The cellist has no story. He has his two cellos, one acoustic and the other electric, and his music. This is an intriguing double-bill.
