The actor, performer and artist Matthias Schoenaerts sat down with Jan Fabre to prepare for a reading of one of his plays. Fabre chose Je suis sang (a mediaeval fairytale), which he wrote in 2000 and directed at the Cour d'Honneur in Avignon.
Schoenaerts turns the counter back to zero and starts with a reading. All he uses is a video camera and a few television monitors. With his back to the audience, he reads this invocatory play on the power of blood. His face can be seen only on the monitors. An exceptional performance!
