Merdan Taplak, 'the third bridge over the Bosporus', was born in Antwerp and given an Asian upbringing. As a DJ he creates a new world of melodies from all corners of the globe, which he unites, in a very passionate mixture, into electronic dance music. He is like a Turkish grocer who sells wholesale sounds. It is a 'wonderful' shop in which he is constantly opening new drawers whose content is so incredible you can hardly believe your ears. Not to mention your legs. Although Merdan's star is already high in the DJ firmament, it keeps on rising. In the meantime he is a permanent guest at almost all the important music festivals in the world and is regarded by the international trade press as one of the big talents in his genre.
