Simone Aughterlony (b. 1977) has already appeared at deSingel in a number of performances by Meg Stuart. This performance, which is her first solo performance on stage, is simply her way of 'doing something'. And the 'something' is real. Or at least she gives a very good impression of it. She slips out of her private world into that of the audience. Without holding back in any way. She asks herself questions. Can the way you view yourself as a private person be reconciled with the way the audience sees you? Simone Aughterlony sets out to discover the stranger in herself. With the aid of three video screens, a microphone and her body, she questions the relationship between public and private, inside and outside, and pain and pleasure.
