Jessica Boyeleba Balehen - also known as CALYA J. - is an Antwerp-based music artist. She writes, plays a number of instruments and produces her own music. In early 2020, she released her first EP, Blueprint. This EP contains a mix of mystical beats/soundscapes and soul/rap vocals. With her own band and in various collaborations, she has already conquered an impressive list of Belgian stages, including Trix, AB, Beursschouwburg, Het Bos, VIERNULVIER and Botanique.
For Radiant Nights #11, she presents for the first time Purp.S. A concert performance where she combines visuals, word and new sounds to create a sacred moment of togetherness, reflection and healing. Accompanied by her band and backing vocals, she takes charge in this sacred moment.
