BIG BANG would be unthinkable without a festive brass band. This year the mantle is taken up by 't AKKOORD, a colourful urban band from Borgerhout that has no less than forty members. It is a mobile street orchestra consisting mainly of brass and percussion, but also likes to experiment with unusual instruments that you would not expect to see in a street orchestra. They make fantastic music together, that builds bridges between people across generations and cultural divides.
