Despite their different cultural backgrounds, the young children of SHANTI! SHANTI! feel as one in their love of music. Directed by Lucy Grauman, they perform a new family concert with songs old and new, on the themes of passion, compassion, hope and suffering, playing together, language, school and family. For some people these songs summon up a certain sadness because they have in the past or more recently had to take their leave of beloved friends and things. There are also a great many fun creations and world premieres on the programme. Tuur Florizoone and Laurent Blondiau will perform new songs, either accompanying themselves or joined by members of the ZWAP children's orchestra. Bodé Owa is responsible for the choreography. It is all directed by Vital Schraenen.
