Last season, Ralph van Raat was a guest at deSingel with an impressive performance of Stravinsky’s ‘Le Sacre du printemps’. This time he is exploring the cross pollinations between pop and contemporary classical music. Composer Karen Tanaka drew inspiration from the rhythms of techno. Composer Pim Moorer finds himself drawn to pop music. A varied programme offering ‘the best of both worlds’: long melodic lines, driving rhythm and an abundance of virtuosity!
