Since 2003 Berlin has been making documentary theatre, somewhere between fiction and reality. Each project is preceded by meticulous and lengthy research.
The 2005 'Iqaluit' installation is a portrait of the capital of the Inuit near the North Pole. The city has six thousand inhabitants, barely twenty-five kilometers of road and is only accessible by air.
We present this installation as part of Meeting Berlin. In the spring of 2017 the Antwerp-based company Berlin will make its festive entrance as ‘Creative Associate’ at deSingel. We will celebrate this by looking back at their early work.
