In her performance 'Dragging the Bone' at the 2016 BOUGE B, Miet Warlop dumbfounded us with her use of plaster. She is now doing the same with music and songs. She is joined by a colourful company of musicians and performers. The brothers Joppe and Wietse Tanghe, together with Tim Coenen, make up Warlop's rock band. Seppe Cosyns is her roadie. She herself sings, drums, rages and along the way conjures up the most insane scenes on the stage. This piece, called 'Fruits of Labour', cannot be categorised: it is both a concert and a sculpture and a performance and a ritual. And also a bizarre and immersive experience.
