Hussein Shikhai is a multidisciplinary artist, graphic designer, writer and researcher. In 2009 he moved from Iraq to Antwerp. Today he still works from our City on the Scheldt, in the fields of experimental film, animation, textiles and interactive installations. During Dear Antwerp, he presents continuous performances, talks and films as if they were excavations of visual languages that had long been misunderstood or were totally invisible. Shikha thus wants to open up global historiography, with a focus on new and neglected perspectives.
