The Antwerp-based singer, producer, composer and visual artist Abrahamblue already cultivated his great love of music from a young age by listening to a broad spectrum of styles. He thus became mesmerised by the records of classical Arabic singers such as Fairuz and Abdel Halim Hafez, whilst also adoring Michael Jackson and classics by Beethoven and Bach. When he discovered jazz music, a new world opened up for him. Add in his appreciation for nineties hip-hop, classic soul and even gospel music and you’ll get a sense of his eclectic identity. Abrahamblue plays piano, guitar, bass and drums, and over time also started experimenting with vocals. In the meantime he is also a producer and songwriter. His patient self-study pathway ultimately resulted in his eagerly-anticipated EP debut Running Around. In collaboration with DE SINGEL and Trix, in which he was in residence for a time and is now a familiar face, he has now made a full-blown XL version of it, accompanied by an orchestra that will be tailor-made through an open call.
The support act will be provided by Uwase, a young Brussels-based singer-songwriter and producer. Her musical universe reflects her most intimate thoughts incorporated into a dreamy indie-pop style.
