Familiestraat, Thomas Verstraeten is making a new creation for Dear Antwerp.
Seefhoek Series is an ode to the vibrant neighbourhood in the north of Antwerp where he himself also lives. Verstraeten always puts a different facet of his neighbourhood under the microscope, in order to then remove it from its context, turn it around, dismantle it, blow it up, isolate it, and finally reintroduce it into the same urban context.
Seefhoek Series is akin to a relay in which one everyday situation leads to another, in an attempt to penetrate into the soul of a city neighbourhood. Together with 250 Seefhoek residents, Thomas Verstraeten invites you to seek out beauty, resilience and poetry.
