For three years in a row, our Creative Associate Daniel Linehan gave workshops for students studying for their bachelor’s degree in dance. In June 2020, he was due to choreograph their graduation projects alongside them. Because of COVID-19, he sought out a creative compromise. For this, his starting point was the question of how a sense of connectedness and dialogue could be created without being together in the same space. He came up with duets in which one dancer is virtual and one dancer is physically present. “By sharing the same music, time and energy, we succeed in creating a shared imagination.” Linehan says. They want to share the end result of their working process with you on the stage in the inner courtyard.
