Drummer Klaas De Somer’s Master’s thesis is in three parts. After three years in secondary arts school in Antwerp and four years at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Klaas is graduating from the Antwerp Conservatoire. He drums with Tourist LeMC and Eefje de Visser, amongst others. With a background in hip hop, pop, blues and jazz, his graduation concert consists of three projects that take you on a musical journey through the different worlds that have inspired him from an early age. 1) Solo Set Klaas De Somer(drums & electronics) 2) Acoustic Quintet with Carlo Nardozza (trumpet), Lennert Baerts (tenor sax), Jan Verheyen (piano), Soet Kempeneer (double bass) 3) Electric Trio with Adriaan Van De Velde (keys), Dries Henderickx (guitar)
