Josse De Pauw, Kris Defoort and foley artist Céline Bernard in live audio drama!
A live audio drama with born storyteller Josse De Pauw, jazz pianist Kris Defoort and foley artist Céline Bernard. In ‘Leviathan’, the Dutch writer P.F. Thoméseis fascinated by the insignificance of mankind when confronted with overwhelming nature and by the repulsive aspects of human existence in decline: stench, decay, sweat, pus and filth. He describes all this very convincingly, both thematically and stylistically. 'Leviathan' is set in 1570 in the dunes of North Holland, where a whale washes up on the beach during a storm that devastates everything in its path and causes flooding. The monstrous size of the dead animal comes to symbolise the insignificance of mankind when confronted with the forces of nature.
