Antonio Caggiano specialises in contemporary music, and especially in the work of Giorgio Battistelli. He and Gianluca Ruggeri (see also La Chanson de Geste de Hector et Achille) together form the Ars Ludi ensemble. Trama is a recent work by Battistelli dedicated to Caggiano. Caggiano also performs a work for bass instrument by Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988), from the composer's fourth and final period of composition.
