Gaetan Bulourde studied classical guitar and mathematics and played bass in several rock bands for some time. While dancing at a party he was noticed by a choreographer. Since then he has worked with Maria Clara Villa Lobos, Thomas Lehmen, Xavier Leroy and, most recently, Meg Stuart.
His own work mainly comprises performances. 'Pfuuf ou le bout de la langue' is an informal performance in which he uses sound, video and words and in several stages zooms in on details, colours, aspects. This sensitivity to details puts him in absurd situations which he clearly enjoys. However, his archness never detracts from the serious zeal with which he takes a close look at what at first sight is a banal street scene and presents it in his own way.
