EDGES, a festival where the unspoken comes into view.
EDGES seeks to make visible what lies beneath the surface. Existential, spiritual, and political themes and questions find a place here. Over two weekends, the festival brings together dance, theatre, concerts, installations, and discussions, with new forms of dialogue and togetherness at its core. Artists from home and abroad explore the boundaries of the expressible, inviting honest, sometimes uncomfortable, but always profound encounters. Our own boundaries are also mapped in the process.
While the Brazilian Carolina Bianchi examines brotherhood and patriarchy, the Portuguese Diana Niepce focuses on those perverse parts within us that silently comply with systems of oppression. In-house artist Luanda Casella investigates the ambiguity of anger, and Aya Momose is fascinated by the boundary between ourselves and others. David Bergé takes you on a walk that takes the unspoken edges of our arts site as its starting point.
