20:30 Kay Slice / Cool Joe The Rotterdam-based hip-hop artist Kay Slice is on a mission: to merge his musical and cultural heritage. With his album From back to back, which he recorded in Ghana, Kay Slice already took a first step towards bringing these two things together. In the performance Here and There he explores the Ghanese musical influences on contemporary hip-hop. Together with a Belgian guest artist, he maps the way in which these musical influences can change inside Europe. What music is made if you compare and unite these differences? And is there an equivalent story to tell about the ‘feeling of home’ that goes hand in hand with this? The result is a musical performance that is somewhere between hip-hop, Afrobeat, soul and Ghanese traditional sounds.
