During the city festival Dear Antwerp, DE SINGEL will be heading into the city. Together with artists from the city, we’ll be telling the story of the city, for people in the city. We’ll present concerts, installations and performances at a variety of locations. The second edition of Dear Antwerp is a passionate advocate of new talent. Xray and the sisters Hind and Zahra Eljadid will each be linking image and performance in their own way. Kay Slice and IKRAAAN will be convincing you with music that invites you to dance or to disappear into the night.
Dear Antwerp also encourages you to actively make art. You can take part in the whispering performance Letters from Attica by Begüm Erciyas or in Klapping by Ahilan Ratnamohan. The collective Female Takeover will be curating a trail through the city with unexpected artistic interventions and with a focus on female talent. And aki, the collective around drum star Anke Verslype, will allow you to relax in a unique setting with their delicate and melancholy jazz. As the cherry on the cake, we’ll be looking back to the first edition of Dear Antwerp with the film version of the unforgettable Familiestraat by Thomas Verstaeten.
